  1. According to a brand valuation report by Duff and Phelps, pandemic shaves off IPL brand value by 3.6% to Rs 45,800 Cr in 2020.
  2. Dentsu International has launched the consumer vision research report, ‘The Age of Inclusive Intelligence’, which charts the long-term consumer trends that will shape the next decade. Some of the trends highlighted in the report include:

Acceleration in the growing popularity of e-sports and online gaming.

Increased focus on the issue of well-being and mental health.

Awareness regarding the harm caused to the environment by global travel.

  1. Top two channel genres on TV (GEC and Movies) together accounted for more than 55 per cent share of ad volumes for the F & B sector during Y 2020: TAM AdEx Report
  2. Data breach risk can impact brand values by $223 billion: According to the report ‘Invisible Tech. Real Impact,’ launched jointly by Infosys and Interbrand.
  3. RAM Ratings for Week 2’21-Week 5’21: Fever FM leads in Mumbai, Delhi. Radio City led in Bangalore whereas Radio Mirchi topped in Kolkata.
  4. 7 out of 10 top F&B brands advertising on TV were HUL’s: TAM AdEx report. Milk beverages and chocolates together contributed 27% to the ad volume of F&B sector.
  5. BARC top 5 advertisers of the week 9 (27th Feb – 5th March 2021) are – Hindustan Lever LTD, Reckitt Benckiser, Cadburys India LTD, Brooke Bond Lipton India LTD, Procter and Gamble. 
  6. According to BARC weekly data, the following were the top 5 free and paid TV channels in week 9 (27th Feb – 5th March 2021) – 

            Paid– STAR Plus, Sun TV, STAR Maa, STAR Vijay, SONY SAB 

            Free– Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Sony Pal, Dangal, Colors Rishtey.
