Headlines: Top Media Ad News in India for the Week (Date : 22nd March – 28th March )

  • Noida may allow operators to use 25% of e-cycle stations for ads. The ambitious rent-a-bike facility was supposed to take off a year ago, but no agency has come forward to run the project yet.
  • HUL tops personal care/hygiene advertisers in Y 2020: TAM AdEx report. Compared to Q1 of Y 2020, Q4 witnessed 38 per cent growth in ad volumes of the personal care/hygiene sector, the report stated.
  • The personal care and hygiene sector on television rose by 7% in 2020 as compared to 2019. According to the TAM advertising by the sector: Personal Care/Hygiene report, Q4 witnessed a 38% ad volume growth compared to the first quarter of  2020.
  • In-content advertising deemed most efficient in branded content integration: Study Insights released by Whisper Media were conducted by Kantar and Orbit, based on anonymous data.
  • IPL 2021:

1. Sports broadcaster, Star Sports has begun the countdown to Vivo IPL with 14 sponsors already on board for this season. The broadcaster announced Dream11, Byjus, Phone Pe, Just Dial, Bingo, Kamla Pasand, AMFI, Frooti, Asian Paints, Thums Up, Vodafone-Idea, Mondelez, Amazon Prime, and Groww as sponsors.
